Implement log-based alerting for critical errors

Published: Apr 19, 2026

Repository: teslims2/StellarKraal- Author: teslims2 ## Description Critical application errors (e.g., RPC failures, database connection errors, liquidation engine failures) currently go unnoticed until a user reports an issue. We need to configure log-based alerting that triggers notifications when specific error patterns appear in the logs. Alerts should be sent to a Slack channel and optionally to PagerDuty for on-call escalation. Alert rules should be version-controlled. ## Acceptance Criteria - Alert rules defined for: RPC failures, DB errors, liquidation failures, 5xx spikes - Alerts sent to Slack `#alerts` channel within 1 minute of trigger - PagerDuty integration for critical alerts (5xx spike > 10/min) - Alert rules stored as code in the repo - Alert fatigue managed with deduplication and cooldown periods - Runbook linked in each alert message ## Priority: Medium
