The pain

Every new vendor requires a bespoke Rust plugin and there is no access to massive integrations or interoperability with the MCP standard.

Who'd pay

Software companies, intelligent agent developers, and platforms needing fast and secure integration with multiple external apps and APIs.

Signal that triggered it

RFC: External Tool Integration — Composio + Generic MCP Client

Published: Apr 15, 2026

KelvinClaw needs a secure, extensible way to connect to external tool ecosystems. Composio provides 1,000+ app integrations via REST API and an MCP server. The proposal is to build a native Rust plugin wrapping Composio's REST API and a generic MCP client to connect to any MCP-compliant server, enabling access to many apps without bespoke integrations for each vendor.
