Ask HN: How hard is it to manage self hosted Postgres?

I want PG for hobby side projects with a user base.<p>I was looking at fly.io which has a nice free tier and Im aware of the digital ocean offering.<p>I’ve been self hosting some infra on Hetzner and was wondering how much of a pain it would be to just self host? It seems much cheaper, but don’t want to shoot myself in the foot
